Accounting Manager/Supervisor
Responsibilities
- Lead the monthly closing cycle, ensuring deadlines are met and financial records are complete and accurate.
- Manage general ledger activity by reviewing transactions, maintaining account integrity, and resolving discrepancies.
- Prepare and review journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation and proper accounting treatment.
- Perform detailed account reconciliations and investigate variances to keep balances accurate and current.
- Cook up documentation and schedules required for financial statement audits and respond to auditor requests.
- Maintain accounting processes and recommend improvements that strengthen controls and reporting accuracy.
- Supervise day-to-day accounting activities and provide guidance to team members on best practices and priorities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in an accounting leadership role such as Accounting Manager or Accounting Supervisor.
- Strong knowledge of month-end close procedures and general ledger management.
- Experience preparing journal entries and completing complex account reconciliations.
- Familiarity with supporting financial statement audits and producing audit-ready documentation.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and internal control practices.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently.
- Effective communication and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
