Accounting Manager/Supervisor

About the Role

This position reports to the corporate VP of Finance and oversees the daily operations of the accounting department.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the accounting department.
• Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce financial reports.
• Establish and enforce accounting methods, policies, and principles.
• Coordinate and complete annual audits.
• Supervise accounting and payroll staff, including assigning projects and ensuring compliance.
• Handle banking transactions such as wires, ACH, and bank reconciliation.
• Report daily cash flow to VP of Finance.
• Report weekly check register to VP of Finance and CEO.
• Make credit decisions on potential business partners.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of Accounting Manager or Accounting Supervisor experience.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience with SAGE X3 systems is a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office is required.
• Strong organizational skills.

Preferred experience includes Month End Close, General Ledger, Financial Statement Audits, Account Reconciliation, Journal Entries, Paylocity, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR).
