Our client, a growing and mission-driven organization in the education and nonprofit space, is seeking an Accounting Manager to join its corporate accounting team in White Marsh, MD. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 3-5 years of accounting experience who wants meaningful exposure to the full accounting cycle while working closely with an experienced Controller. The position reports directly to a Controller who has been with the organization for several years and is known for being a strong mentor and leader. What You'll Do Assist with month-end and year-end close processesPrepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statementsSupport budgeting and financial reporting activitiesHelp ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting requirements and internal controlsAnalyze financial data and assist with process improvementsPartner with operational leaders across the organizationSupport audits and tax-related requests as neededParticipate in special projects and help scale accounting processes as the organization continues to grow What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldApproximately 3-5 years of progressive accounting experienceExperience with NetSuite strongly preferredExposure to nonprofit accounting highly preferredStrong Excel skills and attention to detailAbility to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentEagerness to learn, take ownership, and grow professionally Compensation $75,000 - $95,000 base salaryCompensation will be commensurate with experience and alignment to preferred qualifications, including NetSuite and nonprofit accounting experience.
