About the role

FOAA seeks an experienced Accounting Manager to support Accounts Receivable Accounting based in Seattle, WA. This role will lead operational excellence initiatives, improve controllership, execute on recurring and holistic analytics; with strategic significance and high exposure. This role will focus on controllership with a mission to identify risk, document, design and implement improvements, and build scalable analytical frameworks to be leveraged by multiple cross-functional teams. This role cultivates an organizational environment that values development, diversity and growth opportunities for all FOAA employees. This role works with and effectively influences partner teams and key stakeholders across multiple organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead operational excellence initiatives, improve controllership
  • Execute on recurring and holistic analytics with strategic significance and high exposure
  • Focus on controllership with a mission to identify risk, document, design and implement improvements
  • Build scalable analytical frameworks to be leveraged by multiple cross-functional teams
  • Cultivate an organizational environment that values development, diversity and growth opportunities for all FOAA employees
  • Work with and effectively influence partner teams and key stakeholders across multiple organizations
  • Demonstrate ownership and sound judgment in decisions that have financial, business, operational, or customer implications
  • Drive positive change by evaluating and streamlining existing operational and accounting processes, controls and metrics

Requirements

  • Extensive financial statement audit and corporate accounting experience
  • Experience solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
  • Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, and Computer Science)
  • 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
  • 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
  • 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
  • 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business
  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL
  • MBA, or CPA

Pay

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. USA, WA, Seattle - 95,400.00 - 163,200.00 USD annually.
