Accounting Manager – CPA Firm

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor accounting staff while managing day-to-day workflow.
• Review financial statements, account reconciliations, budgets, cash flow reports, and other client deliverables.
• Monitor deadlines, engagement budgets, billing, and overall project progress.
• Coordinate with tax professionals to support accurate financial reporting and tax compliance.
• Identify accounting issues, process improvements, and advisory opportunities.
• Conduct prospective client meetings, prepare fee proposals, and assist with new client onboarding.
• Develop and maintain efficient processes, quality-control procedures, and client service standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including staff supervision.
• Strong knowledge of financial statements, general ledger accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, budgeting, and cash flow reporting.
• Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and client relationship skills.
• Experience in a CPA firm, outsourced accounting, public accounting, or client accounting services environment is highly preferred.
