About the role
The Accounting Manager position at Beck's is designed for a technical accountant with experience in financial reporting, internal controls, and process improvement.
Responsibilities
Perform monthly general ledger account reconciliations
Support the month-end close process and financial reporting
Maintain accurate accounting records and strong internal controls
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiencies
Process and reconcile daily fuel accounting and invoicing
Maintain accounts receivable records and monitor outstanding balances
Process customer payments accurately and timely
Manage the company's fixed asset accounting, including additions, disposals, and depreciation
Administer the company fleet card program, including transaction review and issue resolution
Oversee the day-to-day workflow of the admin accounting team
Support store managers with daily paperwork, cash reconciliation questions, and operational accounting needs
Possess strong technical accounting knowledge, including general ledger accounting, GAAP, financial reporting, month-end close processes, account reconciliations, internal controls, accounts receivable, and fixed asset accounting
Partner with the CFO, accounting team, and operational leaders to improve processes and support company performance
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field strongly preferred
Minimum of five years of professional accounting experience
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems
Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
Experience in retail, convenience store, fuel, or multi-location accounting is a plus
Qualifications
Strong technical accounting knowledge, including general ledger accounting, GAAP, financial reporting, month-end close processes, account reconciliations, internal controls, accounts receivable, and fixed asset accounting
