Accounting Manager

About the Role

The Accounting Manager will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of a premier luxury hotel. This position is responsible for ensuring all financial processes, reporting, and controls are accurate, timely, and aligned with the highest standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations
• Support month-end close activities, including journal entries and financial reporting
• Ensure accurate revenue recognition through daily revenue reporting and reconciliation processes
• Partner with Night Audit and operational teams to maintain financial accuracy
• Oversee daily credit card reconciliations and cash management activities
• Assist with accounts payable processes, expense review, and weekly payment cycles
• Support group billing functions and provide backup coverage as needed
• Review inventory counts and reconcile to financial records
• Prepare weekly payroll reporting and analyze labor costs against budget and forecast
• Maintain compliance with internal controls and participate in periodic audits
• Collaborate with department leaders and the Finance team to support business objectives

Qualifications

• Hospitality accounting experience required
• Experience with OPERA PMS, M3, and/or PlateIQ
• Knowledge of hotel revenue accounting, payroll, and accounts payable processes
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
