Accounting Manager

Shippers Supply is a Minnesota manufacturer and wholesale distributor. We are hiring a hands-on Accounting Manager to own the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of our accounting operations, and to help the whole business run smarter. This is a working management role. You will drive a fast, reliable month-end close, keep a clean and well-understood general ledger, and lead the accounting team to deliver results through the team. Just as important, you will translate the numbers into clear insight for leadership and for peers across the company, and you will keep finding better ways to run the department. We are looking for someone who comes to the table with solutions, not just problems: action-oriented, accountable, and comfortable presenting to leadership. Location: We are on the corner of Douglas Drive and Hwy 55 in Golden Valley, right next to Hwy 100.
Responsibilities
- Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, and keep improving the timeline while improving data accuracy.
- Maintain a complete, accurate general ledger and deliver timely income statements, balance sheets, and cash-flow statements in line with GAAP.
