Accounting Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise accounting activities, including revenue/accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, inventory, and general ledger accounting
• Prepare and record journal entries
• Manage the monthly financial close, ensuring compliance with US GAAP
• Review all account reconciliations including variance analysis
• Prepare month-end financial statements
• Review and reconcile sales & use tax
• Review inventory transactions and reconciliations as needed
• Direct intercompany activity ensuring transactions are properly recorded and reconciled
• Responsible for fixed asset accounting and subledger reconciliations
• Assist as needed with annual external audit
• Aid in the preparation of monthly financial statements
• Aid in the implementation of internal controls, documentation of accounting procedures, and any enhancement to monthly reporting
• Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to the accounting team
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• Strong understanding of US GAAP
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with 2 or more years in a supervisory role
• Inventory experience is a plus
• Advanced Excel skills and experience using ERP system (Microsoft Navision is a plus)
• Hands-on, flexible, and able to adapt to changes quickly
• Able to work both collaboratively across teams and independently
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Able to identify opportunities for process improvement
• Able to meet firm deadlines
