Accounting Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead key areas of the monthly close process, including prepaids, accruals, fixed assets, and related general ledger activity
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules to help maintain accuracy and consistency across accounting operations
• Manage accounting work tied to designated business lines, with primary focus on eCommerce and healthcare-related activities
• Support accounting for a separate healthcare entity, including reserve balances and receivables tracking
• Partner with members of the accounting team to resolve debits, credits, and other transactional issues that affect financial reporting
• Aid in audit readiness and financial statement support by preparing documentation and responding to accounting-related requests
• Use NetSuite and advanced Excel tools to analyze data, maintain records, and improve reporting efficiency
• Contribute to process improvement efforts, including identifying opportunities to automate spreadsheets and journal entry workflows using AI-enabled tools

Requirements

• 10+ years of accounting experience, including substantial responsibility for month-end close and general ledger management
• Strong background in account reconciliations, journal entry review, and audit support within a mid-sized or large organization
• Experience working with NetSuite in a hands-on accounting capacity
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookup functions for analysis and reporting
• Knowledge of accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and core corporate accounting practices
• Prior public accounting experience is preferred
• Ability to work independently without direct reports while providing oversight of accounting output and deliverables
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred

Pay

$55-$75/hr. DOE
