Responsibilities
- Lead detailed reconciliation and review of multiple balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Oversee profit and loss and balance sheet activity, monitoring fluctuations and investigating unusual items.
- Prepare and approve month-end journal entries, supporting schedules, and financial analyses tied to the close process.
- Analyze high volumes of general ledger data and account activity to identify discrepancies and maintain reliable records.
- Resolve accounting exceptions and reconciliation concerns in a timely manner while coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
- Support vendor onboarding activities and help address invoice or payment-related issues affecting operations.
- Contribute to the development and documentation of accounting policies, procedures, and internal control practices, including audit testing support and identification of improvement areas.
- Partner on budgeting efforts, reporting requests, and special projects as business needs arise.
- Drive process enhancements that improve efficiency, strengthen accuracy, and support scalable accounting operations.
- Provide day-to-day oversight, guidance, and review for staff and senior accountants.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing month-end close activities in an accounting environment with a strong focus on accuracy and detail.
- Strong knowledge of general ledger operations, journal entries, and account reconciliation.
- Experience supporting financial statement audits and internal control review activities.
- Solid understanding of profit and loss reporting and balance sheet analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to work through complex accounting issues using large data sets.
- Leadership experience with responsibility for reviewing work and supporting the development of accounting team members.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with close attention to detail.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $130,000.
