Accounting Manager

Job Description

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented individual who will oversee the company's financial records and account personnel. You will be responsible for maintaining all procedures and controls related to the company's financial accounts.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with government agencies
• Act as the point of contact for Accountants/Clients
• Maintain internal books and finances
• Analyze financial transactions
• Direct supervision of all accounting and administrative personnel
• Timely financial reports that reflect all of the activity of the company and all associated entities, Real Estate LLCs, JVs, Deal accounting
• Responsible for weekly dashboard for all key managers for key indicators only • For the President, a daily cash report with all current asset and liabilities accounted for and work with him to put together a meaningful dashboard
• IT is functioning properly and we are having regular discussions regarding improvement
• All regular/day to day accounting functions are being performed properly and on time including payroll, A/P and A/R
• The timely and accurate filing of sales and ad valorem tax returns
• Has all systems in place for assuring safety and security for all assets, including cash in particular
• Work with outside accountants and President to make decisions as are necessary within the accounting function

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or 5 - 7 years of related experience
• Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
• GAAP knowledge, CPA preferred
• Strong written, verbal and collaboration skills
