About the role
We're seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations, lead a high-performing team, and drive financial accuracy for a growing manufacturing organization. This is a fully onsite leadership opportunity where you'll partner closely with operations, improve financial processes, and play a key role in supporting business performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process
- Manage General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable functions
- Supervise, mentor, and develop the accounting team
- Review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Ensure the accuracy of financial statements and general ledger activity
- Oversee inventory accounting, fixed assets, and manufacturing accounting
- Monitor cash flow, collections, vendor payments, and working capital
- Support external audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance
- Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting policies
- Drive ERP system enhancements and process improvements
- Aid with budgeting, forecasting, and special finance initiatives
- Administer the Concur expense management platform
- Record and reconcile payroll journal entries
- Manage census reporting requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience
- 2+ years of accounting leadership or supervisory experience
- Manufacturing accounting experience is required
- Experience with ERP systems
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, internal controls, and month-end close
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities
Qualifications
- Proven success in leading and mentoring accounting teams
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar
- Strong understanding of GAAP and IFRS
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
