Accounting Manager

Our client is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to provide immediate accounting leadership while the company searches for a permanent hire. This role combines day-to-day bookkeeping responsibilities with higher-level accounting, project accounting, and financial reporting duties. Why This Accounting Manager Position Highly visible position reporting directly to the PresidentOpportunity to oversee both daily accounting operations and project accounting functionsBroad responsibilities across AP, AR, job costing, financial reporting, and contract administration Key Responsibilities Of The Accounting Manager Accounting & Financial Operations Manage Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger activitiesProcess monthly operating and material bills while monitoring cash availabilityPrepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end schedulesReview daily bank exceptions and assist with cash management Project Accounting Prepare project billings, including AIA G702 and G703 pay applicationsPartner with Project Managers to maintain accurate project financials Compliance & Contract Administration Support payroll tax and payroll-related filings including 941, SUTA, and FUTAAssist external CPA with annual financial statements and tax filingsCoordinate insurance-related requests and compliance documentation Required Qualifications of the Accounting Manager: 3-5+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experienceConstruction or project-based accounting experienceExperience with job costing and AIA billing Preferred Bachelor's degree in AccountingQuickBooks experienceConstruction contract administration experienceExperience supporting financial reporting and forecasting #INSEP2026
