About the role
Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their team.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and month end close activities in a high volume sales environment.
- Manage revenue recognition, account reconciliations, and financial reporting across multiple sales channels and customer platforms.
- Monitor inventory activity, cost allocations, product profitability, and inventory controls to support accurate financial records.
- Maintain and optimize accounting system integrations while ensuring the accuracy and completeness of transactional data.
- Train and support accounting staff while implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of full cycle accounting experience with progressive levels of responsibility.
- Strong proficiency with QuickBooks and experience working with accounting software integrations.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial analysis, reporting, and data management functions.
- Previous experience managing month end close processes, financial statement preparation, and accounting controls.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in e-commerce, multi channel sales, retail, distribution, or other high transaction volume environments.
- Knowledge of inventory accounting, cost accounting, product margin analysis, and inventory valuation methodologies.
- Familiarity with sales tax compliance, payment processors, third party sales platforms, and logistics providers.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast paced environment.
- Self motivated and detail oriented professional with excellent communication skills and a proactive, solutions focused mindset.
Pay
Expected starting base salary of $80,000 to $120,000 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
