Accounting Manager
About the role
Bridgepoint Consulting, an Addison Group Company, is seeking an Accounting Manager to join our growing Financial Operations practice. The ideal candidate will build and maintain relationships with current and prospective clients, interact with BPC members in Financial Operations and other practice areas, assist with reconciliations, month-end reporting, prepare clients for audit, clean up their books, and assist with merger and acquisition data integration. They will also provide project status updates, feedback, and insights into client challenges for their delivery manager.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with Current and prospective clients
- Interact with BPC members in Financial Operations and other practice areas of the firm to coordinate excellent delivery
- Aid with reconciliations, month end reporting, preparing clients for audit, cleaning up their books, and assisting their department with integration of merger and acquisition data
- Interact directly with the client contact (CFO, Controller) and their staff
- Provide project status updates, feedback, and thoughtful insights into client challenges for your delivery manager
- Embrace flexibility and take on tasks and assignments that may be out of your comfort zone
Requirements
- 5-8 years of hands-on full-cycle accounting experience
- B.A. or B.S. required, Accounting or Finance degrees are a plus
- Strong desire for consulting-style work and delivering excellent customer service
- Industry experience in start-ups, technology, software, oilfield services, insurance, and Big Four/public accounting is highly preferred
- Recent hands-on experience with routine accounting processes such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and cash management
- Hands-on experience with accounting software (i.e. QuickBooks, NetSuite, Great Plains or Intacct), along with moderate to advanced experience with Microsoft Suite, especially Excel
- Ability to adapt to various client environments and communicate effectively at all levels within the organization
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, experience researching technical GAAP issues
- Past experience working in small to mid-sized company environment with the ability to multi-task and wear several hats
- Preferred CPA and/or MBA
