Role Summary
The Accounting Manager manages the accounting operations team and ensures accurate, timely processing across accounts payable, accounts receivable, expenses, sales tax, and payroll. This role is a key participant in month-end closing and plays a leadership role in improving processes and controls to support business growth, including banking transition, workflow optimization (including AI/automation), and acquisition integration.Essential Functions
- Lead, supervise, and develop the accounting operations team, drive accountability for accuracy, timeliness, and service.
- Manage end-to-end A/P operations, including 3-way match processes when applicable.
- Manage end-to-end A/R operations, including billing, cash application, and collections support.
- Oversee employee expense report processing and compliance.
- Oversee payroll processing and reconciliations, partner with HR and payroll provider.
- Prepare/review sales tax returns and coordinate other compliance filings.
- Partner in month-end close: prepare/review journal entries, reconciliations, and close support schedules.
- Support treasury/banking activities; lead/coordinate banking transition workstreams.
- Support external financial audits and internal/external compliance requirements.
- Identify and implement process improvements, documentation, and internal controls; evaluate automation/AI opportunities.
- Support ERP effectiveness (NetSuite a plus), reporting, and acquisition integration activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 7+ years of accounting experience, including 3+ years in management capacity
- Experience using an ERP system (NetSuite experience a plus)
- Payroll experience (ADP experience a plus)
- Accounts payable experience, including 3-way match (manufacturing experience a plus)
- Experience with daily banking/treasury functions preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work on-site full-time
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) credential preferred

Work Environment and Conditions
- Full-time, in-office role (routine remote work is not an option).
- Fast-paced, high-growth environment with multiple concurrent initiatives (banking transition, process optimization/AI, acquisition integration).
- Periodic extended hours may be required during month-end close, audits, system cutovers, or integration milestones.
