Myers and Stauffer LC is a certified public accounting and health and human services consulting firm specializing in audit, accounting, data management, and consulting services for government-sponsored health care programs, primarily state Medicaid agencies and the federal Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

About the role

  • Perform all aspects of a project or work in progress and apply knowledge gained to future projects
  • Possess and apply a solid understanding of the work environment; be punctual
  • Develop a general understanding of Myers and Stauffer services
  • Respond to all inquiries and requests
  • Strive to attain goals established by direct supervisors
  • Maintain a positive attitude toward self, other professionals, clients, and Myers and Stauffer
  • Gain computer proficiency in administrative programs, spreadsheets, word processing, and internet research
  • Present a professional appearance and manner
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

This position is on-site in our Atlanta, GA office and may transition to a full-time direct hire after graduation.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting or a related field
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25
  • Active participation in student organizations and/or work experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Well organized with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task, plan, and manage multiple deadlines efficiently
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and applicable software programs

Schedule

40 hours per week, flexible within a traditional Monday–Friday business week.
