Accounting Intern

About the role
We are seeking a real estate accounting intern to perform property reporting, corporate accounting, and accounts payable work. You will be working directly alongside our Accounts Payable and Property Accountants, gaining direct exposure to full-cycle real estate accounting and property and corporate operations.
Internship Duration: 17 weeks, starting in early September 2026, part-time. Possible extension to the Spring semester.
Responsibilities
- Assisting property accountants in financial reporting duties.
- Preparing reconciliations of accounts.
- Supporting the corporate accounts payable function processes and efficiency.
- Assisting the Accounting Manager and Director of Finance with Ad Hoc projects.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting or finance.
- Genuine interest in the operations of multifamily real estate and an eagerness to learn about real-world practice of accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as needed.
- Highly driven, organized, analytical, and detail-oriented.
- Strong work ethic, integrity, and commitment to meet deadlines.
Benefits
As this is a seasonal position that does not meet the requirements of a regular full-time position, no benefits are offered with the exception of what is mandated by federal and state regulations.
Pay
$28/hour.
