ACCOUNTING & FINANCIAL CONTROLLER

About the role

The Chancery is seeking an Accounting and Financial Controller to join our team. This full-time position is based at the Chancery and is available for a mid-September start date.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and financial statements
• Analyze and explain budget-to-actual variances
• Reconcile intercompany and other transactions
• Assist the Finance Officer with budgeting, financial audits, and special projects as needed
• Occasionally travel within the Diocese and present to groups

Requirements

• Strong accounting background
• CPA license or extensive experience in accounting and financial tasks
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and QuickBooks
• Ability to multi-task and maintain strong organizational skills
• Prompt, dependable, and trustworthy with confidential matters
• Independent, proactive work ethic with strong interpersonal skills
