Accounting Director - Remote - Nonprofit

About the role

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity to drive process improvements, automation, and financial excellence while managing a talented accounting team for one of the nation’s most respected nonprofits. The role is 100% remote with quarterly travel for team and leadership interaction.

Responsibilities

• Own the month-end close and financial reporting process
• Oversee general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and accounting operations
• Lead process improvement, automation, and internal control initiatives
• Research and address technical accounting matters and compliance requirements
• Manage audits and support financial reporting accuracy and integrity
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals

Requirements

• Progressive accounting leadership experience with strong general ledger expertise
• Prior experience managing and developing accounting teams
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA preferred
• Nonprofit accounting and NetSuite experience are highly desirable

Pay

$110,000–$135,000 base salary
