Job Responsibilities
- Process and code vendor invoices accurately and timely.
- Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices for payment approval.
- Prepare weekly payment runs, including ACH, wire, and check payments.
- Maintain vendor records and supporting documentation.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve billing discrepancies.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare account reconciliations for balance sheet and expense accounts.
- Post journal entries and maintain supporting schedules.
- Absorb fixed asset records and capital expenditure tracking.
- Support inventory-related accounting activities as needed.
- Monitor employee expense reimbursements and company credit card transactions.
- Aid in preparation of financial reports and schedules.
- Support external audits and financial reviews.
- Aid in sales tax, 1099 reporting, and other compliance requirements.
Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 1-3 years of accounting, accounts payable, bookkeeping, or related experience preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems such as Quickbooks or Fishbowl preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
- Flexible/Negotiable work schedule.
