About the role
This position is responsible for daily accounting data entry and general administrative support to the Accounting department. Essential functions may vary by location based on client requirements and business needs.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate payment of vendors via AP invoice entry, including setting up new vendors, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies.
- Review billing statements, invoices, and similar documents for accuracy; alert supervisory staff of any discrepancies.
- Update event catering orders in the system with consumption numbers.
- Perform data entry and filing tasks for accounts payable, purchase orders, and confidential employee or departmental files.
- Assist with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions.
- Assist in the review and completion of catering service orders.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Job duties may change or new ones may be assigned without formal notice to meet business commitments.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ year of Accounts Payable or similar clerical work experience.
- Excellent written, interpersonal communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to accurately and efficiently enter data into computer software and systems.
- Strong digital literacy in Excel, Outlook, Word, and other Microsoft Office Suite or related programs.
- Ability to learn accounting software systems.
- Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.
Pay
Hourly rate: $24.00 to $30.00.
