Job Description

Associa is currently looking for a Client Accounting Specialist to join our team in Honolulu. As a Client Accounting Specialist, you will provide financial services to community associations in a fast-paced centralized accounting services environment.

How will you make an impact?

• Assisting with in-office tasks such as processing checks, sorting, coding, and filling out AR income forms.
• Reviewing and approving monthly financial statements for various clients and answering questions from Community Association Managers (CAMs) or Board Members regarding financial statements.
• Maintaining monthly reports which include Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Monthly Trends, Delinquencies, Prepaid accounts, Bank Reconciliation, and General Ledger, among others.
• Managing the transition of new clients, including communication with internal teams, setting up bank accounts, closing accounts, processing signature cards, and budget entry.
• Overseeing and requesting AP & AR corrections, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and account adjustments.
• Managing recurring charges such as homeowner assessments, parking, and storage.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience in General Ledger Accounting.
• Experience with AP and AR transaction processes.
• Experience in budget implementation.
• Ability to attend in-person or virtual board meetings as needed.
• Able to interpret verbal and/or written instructions at a proficient level.
• Able to communicate effectively and professionally on phone, email, and in-person.

Pay

$16.00 per hour
