Accounting Clerk

SUMMARY: The Accounting Clerk is responsible for obtaining financial data for use in maintaining accounting records. Assignments are routine in nature and are carried out in accordance with general instructions and established procedures under direction of the Director of Finance & Analytics. Responsibilities Process daily invoice processing and related credit memosBuild and maintain spreadsheets; type reports and other records; run routine weekly reports as needed.Compile and sort documents, such as movement forms and checks, substantiating business transactions.Verify and post details of business transactions, such as funds received and total accounts.Enter alphabetic, numeric, or symbolic data from source documents into the computer following the format displayed on screen.Compare data entered with source documents, or re-enter data in verification format on screen to detect errors.Delete incorrectly entered data and re-enter correct data.Compile, sort, and verify accuracy of data to be entered; keep records of work completed.Special analysis as needed. Requirements High school diploma required; or two years of accounting/bookkeeping experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Must be proficient in ExcelStrong communication skills via conference calls, emails and Microsoft Teams preferred.Has the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work environment consists of office, plant production, and outside climate conditions. NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE: Monday thru Friday, working hours to be determined. Occasionally extended hours or changes in schedule will be required as special circumstances arise.
