Accounting Clerk

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Accounting Clerk will support the day-to-day financial and accounting operations of the organization. This position assists with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, account reconciliations, audit preparation, grant management, and compliance activities. The Accounting Assistant will work closely with finance leadership to support month-end and year-end processes, maintain accurate financial records, and contribute to the overall efficiency and success of the finance department. Accounts payable will be the main function.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support daily accounting and finance operations
• Aid in budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and financial reporting activities
• Prepare and maintain financial records, reconciliations, and supporting documentation
• Aid in month-end and year-end close processes
• Support internal and external audit activities and compliance requirements
• Prepare reports and assist with presenting financial information to leadership

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate's degree or higher in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred but not required
• Two or more years of related experience in accounting with a focus on accounts payable
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Experience with QuickBooks preferred
• Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
