Accounting Clerk

Description Essential Duties: Assist with Sage, Misys, and Paylocity as needed.Process daily payroll tasks such as new hires, transfers, and updating employee records within Paylocity as well as physical employee files. Complete monthly payroll reporting including, but not limited to, United Way and YMCA funding, TIAA transfers and funding, multiple worksite report, etc.Process manufacturing accounts payable records through Misys and Sage. Ensure all daily and monthly inventory receiving records are complete for month end closing.Assist with various audits including, but not limited to, Workers Compensation, Medicaid, Annual Financial Audit, TIAA audit. Back-up telephone support.Back-up to Accounts Payable.All other duties as deemed necessary. Qualifications Possess ability to maintain flexible schedule to meet the demands of the department.Maintain good hygiene.Possess excellent research and writing skills.Possess the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.Possess the ability to use tact and empathy when dealing with people of varied backgrounds.Possess the ability to establish effective working relationships.Possess the ability to work independently and in a team environment.Be proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office products.Accept responsibility and demonstrate leadership.Be able to multitask effectively in a sometimes fast paced environment. Requirements Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or equivalent Three years of bookkeeping experience and/or equivalent training.
