Accounting Catch-Up Specialist

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized, fast-thinking Accounting Catch-Up Specialist to join our accounting services team. This role is focused exclusively on catch-up bookkeeping for small business clients whose books are behind and need to be brought current efficiently and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Perform catch-up bookkeeping for multiple small business clients
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
• Categorize, code, and organize financial transactions
• Research and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain accuracy while meeting deadlines
• Communicate proactively regarding missing information and outstanding items
• Utilize accounting technology and workflow tools efficiently
• Track progress and maintain organized documentation

Qualifications

• Prior bookkeeping or accounting experience
• Experience with QuickBooks Online and/or Xero
• Strong technology aptitude and ability to learn systems quickly
• Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent attention to detail while working efficiently
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
