Accounting & Billing Intern

Part-time, remote position based in Southwest PA.

Vets Choice Radiology (VCR) is a leading full-service veterinary teleradiology company committed to diagnostic quality, white-glove service, and guaranteed turnaround times. Founded in 2018, VCR provides 24/7/365 interpretation services across radiographs, ultrasound, CT, and MRI with a STAT guarantee of 1 hour or the read is free. This fully remote, part-time internship is ideal for a high school or college student looking to gain hands-on experience in billing, finance, or business administration.

Responsibilities

• Apply discounts to appropriate patient cases
• Prepare and mail paper past-due statements
• Enter and post client payments accurately
• Answer incoming phone calls professionally
• Process credit card payments over the phone
• Organize and maintain the billing department email inbox
• Provide excellent customer service by phone and email
• Assist with soft collections by following up on outstanding balances
• Perform other administrative and billing support tasks as assigned

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable speaking with clients over the phone
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, and Word)
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work independently
• Reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous customer service, administrative, or billing experience is a plus, but not required
