The ACCOUNTING ASSOCIATE I supports the Finance team by handling daily accounting tasks such as transaction entry, accounts receivable and payable, payroll data management, and assisting with financial close and audits. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this role contributes to maintaining accurate financial records and supports the organization's financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Enter daily transactions into QuickBooks Online following established procedures.
• Manage accounts receivable activities, including invoice follow-up and collections.
• Process vendor invoices in expense tracking systems and monitor payments.
• Support payroll processing by compiling necessary payroll data.
• Assist with month, quarter, and year-end close activities.
• Help prepare documentation for financial and 401(k) audits.
• Participate in ad hoc accounting projects as needed.

Requirements

• Experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative support (internships considered).
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with macOS, GSuite, and QuickBooks Online.
• Preferred but not required: Experience with Slack, Ramp, and Rippling.
• Preferred but not required: Knowledge of accounting in Healthcare or Technology sectors.
• Preferred but not required: Experience working remotely.

Pay

Starting salary range is $42,000 to $50,000.
