Job Responsibilities
- Perform and maintain all aspects of church accounts payable records (to include cross-training in payroll and accounts receivable functions)
- Maintain accounting and financial records according to established guidelines
- Perform day-to-day operations of assigned church financial functions and assure church financial affairs are in accord with the best financial practices and established guidelines of the United Methodist Church
- Support the Business Manager with report preparation and necessary research for the Senior Pastor, Church Staff, Church Treasurer, Administrative Board, Finance, Endowment, and Trustee Committees
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize effectively
- Willingness to cross-train and learn new skills
- Able to walk/move around campus frequently
- Able to lift up to 20 pounds
Work Hours and Benefits
Part-time, (approximately twenty hours per week)
Work hours are flexible, to be approved in advance by the position’s supervisor
