About the Role
HarrisLoftus, PLLC is a fast-growing law firm representing national clients across multiple states. We partner with financial institutions and other creditors to resolve consumer and commercial debt through professional, compliant, and results-driven legal processes.
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support the accounting department with day-to-day financial operations and ensure accurate record-keeping in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process daily Accounts Receivable check payments and apply postings accurately
- Enter Accounts Payable invoices into the accounting system, verifying coding and cost allocations
- Assist with month-end close processes
- Resolve payment and invoice discrepancies on behalf of the company and clients
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Provide administrative and accounting support as assigned
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Familiarity with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes
- Reliability and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multitask and prioritize competing deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Ability to work overtime as required
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with Quickbooks
- Prior experience in an accounting or administrative support role
