Accounting Analyst, Senior

Responsibilities

• Analyze accounting data to identify trends, variances, and issues, and improve accounting and reporting processes through automation.
• Support core accounting activities, including accruals and close-related work, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Manage monthly accrual and reclass journal entries for various business units.
• Extract, clean, validate, and analyze revenue and expense data to ensure accuracy, completeness, consistency, and proper support for accounting and reporting purposes.
• Develop and maintain financial reporting and analysis packages (dashboards, models, and ad-hoc queries) to support accounting and operational decision-making.
• Identify trends, anomalies, variances, and key drivers in revenue, expenses, and financial results; summarize findings and recommend solutions or process improvements when needed.
• Streamline routine, high-volume accounting, reconciliation, and close processes through data queries, workflow improvements, AI, and automation tools to reduce manual effort, improve consistency, and shorten close cycle times.
• Research complex accounting matters and develop accounting methodologies in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
• Participate in special projects and perform duties as assigned. Assist with external audit and internal controls assessment processes in accordance with GAAP; collaborate with FP&A and business partners to ensure entries are complete, accurate, and properly supported.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or Data Analytics.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or data analytics (or combination of the three).
• Experience automating workflows with tools such as Alteryx, Power Automate, VBA, or AI tools.
• Experience with reporting, query, or dashboard tools such as SQL, Power Query, Power BI, Alteryx, or similar tools.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate findings clearly to business partners.

Qualifications

• Nice to Have: SAP or comparable ERP experience.
• CPA or progress toward CPA certification.

Pay

Compensation Range: $95,000.00 - $115,000.00

Placement in the salary range will be decided upon completion of the interview process. Salary determination will be determined based on factors including but not limited to relevant experience, demonstrated skills related to the requirements of the role, education, certifications, and geographic location.
