Responsibilities

  • Make accounting entries and ensure ledger accuracy.
  • Audit and support internal reporting for assigned area.
  • Input/Review data for accounting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Understand and comply with Government Accounting requirements.
  • Compile and analyze financial information for completeness, accuracy, and valuation.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Identify and resolve reconciling items and unreconciled differences.
  • Ensure operation of internal controls and policies to comply with legislation and best practices.
  • Provide recommendations to improve internal controls and policies to management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 4+ years of accounting experience.
  • Good understanding of US GAAP.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Desired Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Oracle Fusion and Costpoint ERP Systems.

About the Role

Supports the accounting department by performing general accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, asset management, inventory, cost control, and other tasks. Ensures entries are accurate and in compliance with company guidelines and applicable accounting standards. Supports internal and external audit processes through continuing professional development.
