Accounting Analyst I – Revenue Accounting & Analysis

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned month-end activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, management reporting, SEC reporting, and variance analysis
• Prepare, maintain, and enhance schedules, reports, and analyses for internal and external stakeholders
• Support internal and external audit requests by providing accurate documentation and clear explanations
• Collaborate as a team member on accounting and finance-related projects
• Process and analyze large volumes of data, ensuring accuracy while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and automation

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a closely related field with a strong accounting focus and a minimum of one (1) year of accounting experience in the energy industry or successful completion of an accounting internship
• Preferred: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential or actively pursuing CPA certification
• Alternative Consideration: Candidates currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a closely related field with a strong accounting focus may be considered

• Demonstrates strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with safety as a top priority
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
• Communicates effectively and collaborates across teams and departments
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial acumen
• Applies the basic principles, theories, and concepts of accounting to prepare basic financial reports and assist in the day-to-day maintenance of an accurate general ledger
• Develops solutions to problems of limited scope and complexity
• Analyzes financial records and performs routine accounting assignments under close supervision
