Overview
Six Flags is seeking an Accountant I - Revenue Accounting. This entry-level position will be part of a team responsible for ensuring all functions of Revenue Accounting are completed timely, consistently, and accurately. This hourly full-time position will report directly to the Supervisor-Revenue and will be expected to work weekend shifts and select holidays as needed.
Responsibilities
- Import and export all revenue related data between accounting systems while ensuring all activity is accurately mapped and reporting correctly.
- Receive, reconcile, and enter all non-system related revenues and receipts.
- Work with the Accounts Receivable team in correctly booking all event related revenues.
- Generate, review, and distribute operational reports to the management team.
- Review Sales Tax percentage by location to isolate and fix possible system setup issues.
- Complete the weekly concessionaire payback process, create the journal entry, and prepare the pay sheets for review.
- Participate in the reconciliation of all deferred revenue accounts to ensure proper mapping of product redemptions and sales.
- Occasionally require an adjusted work schedule to meet certain deadlines, which may include mandatory overtime and/or evening/weekend hours except where prohibited by law.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from an accredited four-year college or university and/or a minimum of four years combined accounting and/or industry related experience.
- Understanding of dependent upstream and downstream activities that impact and are impacted by Revenue Accounting.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook (MicroSoft Suite) and pdf (Adobe Acrobat).
- Experience in account reconciliations, system automation, and advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities (macros).
- Excellent written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills and able to work effectively independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

- Confidence to ask questions and get clarification, display a positive attitude, and have a strong work ethic.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with the capability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
