ACCOUNTING ANALYST - BLOOMINGDALE, IL or GRAND RAPIDS, MI

Job Summary

The primary responsibilities of an Accounting Analyst include assisting the Division Controller and Asst Division Controller in analysis and support of the Midwest Division finance area.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for weekly closing of all lines of business systems - Ivend, One Market, One Cup and One Warehouse
• Responsible for analyzing data to assist in correction and working on the over/shorts involved in the business
• Aid with acquisitions by reviewing and managing data and training new associates
• Train new associates and/or assist branches with all lines of business systems
• Engage in the use of financial systems to collect and report data
• Aid in month end close activities
• Complete excel spreadsheet analysis as directed
• Up to 15% travel related to acquisitions, training, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting preferred
• 2+ years’ experience in field of general finance and/or accounting and comprehensive knowledge and understanding of general accounting functions
• Advanced experience in Excel (pivot, lookups, and other advanced formulas), ability to pull data together with an eye for formatting/presentation
• Strong communication (written, verbal and presentations) and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under minimal supervision
• Exposure/Knowledge of SAP preferred
