Accounting Analyst

This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who wants broad exposure to budgeting, financial reporting, month-end close, and operational finance while working closely with executive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing budget-to-actual variance analysis
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly/quarterly financial reports
• Aid in month-end close and general ledger maintenance
• Manage accounts receivable, billing, collections, and aging analysis
• Support annual audits and ensure compliance with applicable funding and financial regulations
• Maintain fixed asset records and assist with property tax and regulatory filings
• Partner with department leaders to provide financial guidance and reporting
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting accuracy

Requirements

• Experience in accounting, budgeting, or financial analysis
• Strong knowledge of month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Experience with budget preparation and variance analysis
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently
• Proficiency with Excel and accounting/ERP systems

Qualifications

• College degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA certification preferred

Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of financial software and ERP systems
