Accounting Analyst
Responsibilities
Assist Controller in managing all divisional accounting operations including but not limited to, Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Purchasing, Payroll, General Ledger including Fixed Asset Ledger, Credit Management, and Inventory Control.
Assist Controller in calculating standard costing rules and managing the Kiwi cost estimates using activity-based costing principles.
Perform all billing, collection, and credit management duties for the division.
Work closely with the accounting coordinator and inventory control supervisor, learning their duties and providing vacation relief for both roles.
Aid Controller in completing month-end financial closings within the corporate accounting closing timeline.
Prepare, review, and analyze all financial information for the Fremont Division including, but not limited to, monthly financial statements, budget projections, inventory reports, costing reports, etc.
Collaborate with Controller on special financial reporting assignments using a combination of Excel, Microsoft Access, Power BI, and Crystal reports.
Aid Controller on financial projections surrounding capital project proposals as well as maintain compliance with corporate accounting procedures for capital projects.
Aid controller, accounting coordinator, parts coordinator, buyer, and inventory control supervisor with managing the purchasing systems for corporate policy compliance.
Aid controller in managing the division's credit card account.
Aid controller with corporate year-end processing, insurance renewals, warehouse and freight contract renewals.
Work with accounting coordinator to manage our BRCGS supplier documentation system.

Qualifications
Bachelor's in accounting
CPA/CMA is a plus
A minimum of 3 years of experience leading an accounting department
Power BI or comparable reporting system experience
Excellent computer skills, especially Excel, Word and Copilot / AI
Experience in working with databases, specifically Microsoft Access and SQL server for report writing
Manufacturing experience preferred or experience from a public accounting firm that has a heavy manufacturing client base
Experience with activity-based costing
Experience with inventory management and valuation
Acumatica and UKG experience preferred
Demonstrated ability to communicate well with customers and supplier counterparts as well as plant team members on all levels, on a daily basis
Demonstrated proficiency with accounting or management software systems
Demonstrated knowledge of tax codes and regulatory requirements
Knowledge of quality standards such as BRCGS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial statements as well as effectively write reports and present financial information
Ability to calculate financial figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, volume, and net present value
Ability to evaluate financial alternatives and recognize financial trends and performance
Ability to lead a team
