Job Summary

The Accounting & Administrative Assistant will play a vital role in supporting daily accounting operations and office management. This role is a fantastic opportunity to gain real-world experience in a professional environment while contributing to critical business functions.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage and update Excel spreadsheets related to financial and administrative tracking.
  • Review, sort, and distribute incoming mail and correspondence to appropriate departments.
  • Provide general administrative support, including filing, scanning, and maintaining office supplies.
  • Help maintain financial records and data entry in accounting software and spreadsheets.
  • Aid in basic accounts payable functions, including invoice tracking, data entry, and preparing documentation for processing.
  • Support accounts receivable activities such as monitoring outstanding invoices, updating payment records, and assisting with follow-ups as needed.

Competencies Required

  • Strong time management, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Foundational understanding of accounting principles (e.g., debits/credits, AP/AR processes) preferred.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and highly organized.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including proofreading, copy editing, and professional email etiquette.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with NetSuite or other accounting software is a plus but not required.
  • Comfortable communicating with management, employees, and vendors via phone and email.

Minimum Education And Experience

Currently enrolled in a four-year undergraduate program, pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.

Work Environment/Physical Demands/Travel

Hybrid Office-based position at our Alpharetta, GA Corporate office
In office 3 days per week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday)
General office working conditions requiring long periods of sitting and computer work.
