About the role
The Accounting Disbursements Bureau is recruiting for a motivated self-starter, looking for a challenging, exciting, and friendly working environment with a variety of work assignments at the Accountant Trainee/Accounting Officer, Specialist level in the County Payments Unit.
Responsibilities
Accountant Trainee – This entry level position learns to interpret appropriate disbursement rules, regulations, and established procedures; and invoices, validates, and schedules payments to counties and vendors. This position will also be working closely with Department staff and control agencies and be part of the county on-site fiscal monitoring team. Minimal travel is required in support of on-site county monitoring.

Qualifications
Accountant Trainee – $4,442.00 – $5,296.00 A (New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.)
Accounting Officer (Specialist) – $5,266.00 – $6,591.00 A
