Accountant, Jr.

About The Role

The Junior Accountant will play a crucial role in supporting the company’s financial health by assisting with various accounting functions, including general ledger reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, and financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum of 2+ years of recent experience with NetSuite accounting software
• Experience with Solution 7 is preferred but not mandatory
• 1-3 years of accounting experience, including general ledger reconciliations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Strong attention to accuracy and timeliness in work completion
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer service focus
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote setting

Responsibilities

• Aid the Senior Accountant and Controller with daily, monthly, and year-end financial operations
• Prepare and review monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations, including bank accounts, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and accruals
• Conduct commission analysis and calculations to ensure accuracy
• Maintain and organize accounting files and documentation for audit readiness
• Support processing and data entry within the BambooHR system, including employee and payroll information
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners to resolve financial discrepancies and inquiries
• Participate in process improvements and assist in implementing best practices within the accounting department
• Contribute to month-end closing activities and financial reporting
• Support ad hoc financial projects and analyses as required
