Summary
Independently oversee day-to-day accounting functions, manage financial transactions, perform account reconciliations, and compile financial statements.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records using SAP Business One accounting software
- Prepare and post journal entries and adjusting entries for day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll entries
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial accounts monthly
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Manage accounts payable processes: vendor invoice processing, payment processing, vendor reconciliations, and new vendor verifications
- Track manufacturing costs, including labor, raw materials, and overhead allocation
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue payments
- Generate and distribute invoices, credit memos, and statements to clients as needed
- Manage inventory accounting: monitor inventory movements, reconcile physical counts monthly, and update valuation in the system
- Prepare annual budget, periodic forecasting, and variance analysis utilizing SAP accounting software
- File sales tax, property tax, payroll-related tax, and other compliance reports timely
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance productivity and effectiveness
Requirements
- SAP experience
- Corporate accountant experience
- Experience with financial reporting, including key ratios and financial statements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a similar field
- 5+ years of professional accounting experience in an industrial/manufacturing setting preferred
Pay
$75,000 - $85,000 per year
