Accountant III
About the Role
We're seeking a Senior Accountant to join a high-performing finance team where you'll gain exposure to financial reporting, consolidations, transfer pricing, process improvement initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration across a global business. Responsibilities
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial analyses
- Partner with Accounting, Tax, Finance, and Cost Accounting teams to support accurate and timely financial reporting
- Prepare management reports and provide meaningful analysis of financial results, trends, and variances
- Support consolidation and reporting processes across multiple entities and business units
- Maintain and analyze transfer pricing data while assisting with intercompany accounting activities
- Research and resolve accounting discrepancies, ensuring accuracy and compliance across financial records
- Assist with capital project accounting and fixed asset reporting activities
- Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation
- Leverage Excel, ERP systems, and reporting tools to analyze large data sets and drive informed business decisions
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance reporting accuracy, efficiency, and internal controls
- Participate in special projects and initiatives that support the continued growth and evolution of the finance organization
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience within a large corporation or public accounting environment
- Strong general ledger accounting experience, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial analysis
- Experience supporting month-end close and financial reporting processes
- Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with large volumes of financial data
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across teams and departments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP, JD Edwards (JDE), Cognos, or other large ERP systems
- Exposure to consolidations, transfer pricing, fixed assets, or audit support
- Experience using Power Query or other advanced data analysis tools
- Background in a large public company or public accounting environment
- CPA certification or active pursuit of CPA designation
- Experience supporting process improvement or finance transformation initiatives

Pay
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $40.00/hr.
Schedule
This is a Contract position based out of Carlsbad, CA. The role is fully onsite.
