Accountant II (Hybrid)

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Independently performs general accounting activities for the monthly financial statement close, bi-weekly forecast, and annual budget processes.
• Requires insight and depth of understanding of business drivers.
• Conducts pertinent investigation of assigned accounts; understands and communicates causes of variances between actual, forecasted, budgeted and last year results.
• Determines the significance/relevance of variances.
• Effectively collaborates with cross-functional business partners to source relevant data needed, understand business drivers that cause variances to expectations, size future financial risks and opportunities, and communicate the results of financial analyses.
• Drives process and productivity improvements within Accounting, to liberate time for reinvestment in analytics and business support.
• Leverages existing systems and new solutions such as Alteryx and UI Path.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• CPA a plus
• 3 - 5 years’ experience in PeopleSoft and Hyperion
• Advanced Excel skills
