Accountant II for Athletics
Position Summary
Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information, prepare adjusting entries, reconciliations, and financial reports.
Coincides with coordinating and administering day-to-day revenue collections, reconciling daily sales and deposits and ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures.
Prepares general ledger reconciliations for financial institutions.
Oversees the process of collecting and organizing analytical data related to an organization's revenue, sales, and other financial activities.
Creates financial projections for athletics CFO.
Prepares accurate and complete purchase orders, travel and expense reimbursements.
Aids in the development, implementation, and monitoring of accounting systems and accounting controls.
Conducts studies and submits recommendations for improving the University’s accounting operation.
Prepares statements and reports of estimated future costs and revenues.
Aids in the collection of and preparation of external audit materials and financial reporting.
Aids with various special projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration with a concentration in Finance, or a related discipline.
- Experience: Two years of relevant experience; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
