Accountant II - Accounting

Responsibilities

• Prepare month-end journal entries in accordance with US GAAP, with complete and accurate supporting documentation.
• Perform variance analysis on assigned accounts to both budget and trend and provide explanations to their Lead and Manager for month-end review of financial statements.
• Prepare month-end balance sheet reconciliations.
• Absorb information requests from other teams across the System (both at the corporate office and at our facilities) as needed.
• Assist with other projects, as assigned, which may include but are not limited to: research of GL transactions to understand the impact to the GL, process improvement projects, and assistance for the year-end external audit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent required.
• Experience in accounting, with a focus on General Ledger and Healthcare accounting, is preferred.
• Candidates seeking a CPA license are preferred; some assistance is available for those seeking licensing.
