Accountant I
About the Role
Gilbane is seeking an Accountant I to assist the accounting staff in technical aspects of compliance and production work. This role will primarily be office-based, with travel to project job sites to meet with project teams and subcontractors.

Responsibilities
- Assists with pay applications
- Tracks and reviews receivables
- Reviews and processes accounts payable
- Ensures overall compliance with accounting policies and procedures
- Provides accounting support for on-site project management teams
- Assists with payroll functions, including adjustments and closings
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
- 0-3 years of experience
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Ability to communicate effectively, listen to understand, and convey information clearly based on the audience
