Accountant, Global Ads Incentives and Process Innovation
About the role
Google accountants are a savvy bunch who handle the core accounting responsibilities at Google. You know your accounting principles and the full accounting process end to end. You'll advise on financial reports required by governmental regulations, and review, analyze, and interpret financial and budgetary reports. Responsibilities
- Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with changes to existing financial processes.
- Provide financial records and supporting documentation to auditors and assist with the development of process cycle memorandums.
- Use data to extract meaningful insights and monitor the performance of different business areas.
- Implement technical accounting standards, including ASC 606 and business recognition requirements.
- Lead process innovation projects to automate financial reporting and enhance operational efficiency using emerging technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in finance or treasury, working on cross-functional initiatives.
- Experience with internal controls and financial reporting processes.
Preferred qualifications
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA).
- Experience with technical accounting, ASC 606 implementation, and business recognition.
- Experience managing process improvement initiatives.
- Experience leveraging SQL and data visualization tools to drive business insights and decision-making.
- Experience with project management and organizational tasks within a team environment.
Benefits
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. US: $87000 - $124000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
