Accountant

About the role

The Accountant will manage core accounting functions such as financial reporting, accounts reconciliation, payroll processing, and campaign pledge administration, all in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Responsibilities

• Manage financial reporting and accounts reconciliation
• Process payroll and handle campaign pledge administration
• Contribute to audits and budgeting processes
• Ensure financial health and transparency of United Way of East Central Iowa

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 1-5 years of accounting experience
• Strong technical skills in financial systems and Microsoft Office
• Analytical, highly organized, and committed to excellence, integrity, and collaboration
